Celebrate more shakers

So I told you I'm on the shaker kick. LOL Here is a birthday card I made and turned the circles into little shakers. OMG what was I thinking??? To keep each of those circles as seperate circle what a PITA but I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

I wasn't happy with the plain "celebrate" letters but I didn't want to shadow them so why not heat emboss them?

I have a zebra stamp from the $1.00 bin at Michaels and stamped that on the letters and sprinkled with clear embossing powder and then heated the powders. I'm really pleased with the way that they turned out.

Thanks for stopping by. :o)

Papercraft Star Challenge 9 - Photo Inspiration

This week at Papercraft Star the designers were asked to use this picture for inspiration

The hot air balloons caught me right off the bat and looking at them I remember growing up and seeing a balloon in the sky and thought what would it be like to be up there and could just dream of flying high in the sky. And that was how this card developed.

I created the balloon using my gypsy of course. Cause can you believe I don't have a cartridge with a hot air balloon ... well not yet at least ;o). I used my trust old George and basic shapes and walk in my garden for the basket (but that could easily be changed with another shape). And lots and lots and lots of glitter. Gotta love the glitter!!!! The inside reads: "Everyday is another chance to make your Dreams come true."

I hope you will join us this week at Papercraft Star and submit your project for the challenge.

Supplies used:

Critters, Critters, More Critters

So for my dad's birthday I sent him a critter card. He wants a book of my critter pictures that I've taken. Well here in Florida Critters are not hard to find. Of course I didn't want the card to be to "girly".

This was a total scraplift my friend Theresa (Treefrog on the Cricut MB). Her's was awesome. Thanks Theresa!!!!

Get Well

Here's a get well card I made. I loved this card design when I saw it on the MB and figured there has to be an easy way to make it in Design Studio. I love the way this turned out.

Monogram Cards

My sister wanted to give her mother-in-law a set of monogram cards for her birthday so I made these for her.

And of course you had to have a cute JenC. box to go with it.

Congrats

My sister asked me to make a congrats/retirement card for someone at her company so this is what I came up with
