Fun in the Sun - Florida

Over in the Cricut Circle the Circle team will be traveling from CHA Chicago to Ohio for a circle swarm. Well they decided pose a challenge to the circlets to create a banner that represents your state. So of course I did Florida ;o)

Here's a close up of the dolphins. They have glaze on them to look like real dolphins.

Here's a close up of the charms. The charms were cut on the cricut using shrinky dinks and then shrunk in the oven. I {heart} shrinky dinks. Then I attached the rings to them.

Card Contest

So did you all hear about the card contest PC is having? Well Jinger posted the contest on Facebook and you had to use one of the following carts:

* Wall Decor & More
* Don Juan
* Winter Lace

You also had to use a product by Anna Griffin. All cards (originals) had to be sent to PC by today. Well sure hope mine made it in time ... yep hubby forgot to mail it priority with delivery confirmation .... SOOOOOO I guess I'll never know. LOL And we only had like a week to get the cards done.

I wasn't going to enter because I didn't have any Anna Griffin products but happened to be at Michael's and they had a paper pad on clearance and I just knew I had to enter.

This is what I came up with:

Materials:
Bazzil Pink Cardstock (Card Base)
Recollections Cardstock (Shimmer Black)
American Crafts (Silver)
Anna Griffin - Peyton Stack (pattern/pink paper ... Diamonds and heart)
Cricut Carts:
Wall Decor and More - heart and "love"

Got Spirit?!?

Happy New Year!!!

I know it's been a while since I've posted but things have been crazy busy with the holidays and getting "orders" completed but I think things are finally slowing down and can get back to blogging.

So at work we have a spirit team that is supposed to promote a fun atmosphere at work and plan activites. So of course what better way to do that then have personalized T-shirts???

The design was made on my gypsy and then used the freezer paper method to paint them on the shirts.

Materials:
T-shirts
Fabric Soft Paint
Fabric Paint (for the outline)
Freezer paper
Cricut Gypsy:
* 3 Birds on Parade
* Alphalicious
* Base Camp
* Cursive 101
* George and Basic Shapes
* Opposite Attract
* Zooballo

Then the idea came up to have spirit awards. So of course I'm addicted to making shrinky dinks. Takes me back to my childhood. So why not mimic our shirts and came up with these.

The charms at the bottom can be changed for the year/activiy that the awards are for.

Materials:
Shrinky Dinks (Rough 'n Ready)
Alcohol Inks
Cricut Gypsy:
* 3 Birds on Parade
* Alphalicious
* Ashlyn's Alphabet
* Base Camp
* Blackletter
* Cursive 101
* George and Basic Shapes

Papercraft Star Challenge 9 - Photo Inspiration

This week at Papercraft Star the designers were asked to use this picture for inspiration

The hot air balloons caught me right off the bat and looking at them I remember growing up and seeing a balloon in the sky and thought what would it be like to be up there and could just dream of flying high in the sky. And that was how this card developed.

I created the balloon using my gypsy of course. Cause can you believe I don't have a cartridge with a hot air balloon ... well not yet at least ;o). I used my trust old George and basic shapes and walk in my garden for the basket (but that could easily be changed with another shape). And lots and lots and lots of glitter. Gotta love the glitter!!!! The inside reads: "Everyday is another chance to make your Dreams come true."

I hope you will join us this week at Papercraft Star and submit your project for the challenge.

Papercraft Star Challenge 5 - Circles

This week at Papercraft Star the design team was asked to use "circles" in their project. Well I wasn't sure what I was going to do with Circles. Then I was playing with my Gypsy and this is what I came up with .....

I just saw the gumball machine and it all came to me after that. This card would be perfect for a little kid's birthday.

I do all of my projects either in DS or on the Gypsy first so that I can cut everything out at one time. Well one of the best things on these programs is the "hide selected contour". I was able to put the gumball machine on the mat and hide all of the cuts except for the gumballs. I then copied the image (with the contours hidden) and put 7 of them on the mat and put my color squares on there and didn't have to waste paper cutting the gumball machine 7 times.

Now hop on over to the Papercraft Star Blog and show us what you did with Circles.

Supplies used:
Cardstock:
Recollections (Michael's brand paper)
Bazzil
and scraps
Cricut Gypsy
Cartridges used:
* George and Basic Shapes - for the card base
* Sweethearts - Gumballs and Gumball Machine

This week over at Papercraft Star we were to create something using sports as the inspiration. Well those of you who know me, neither my DH or I are into sports. So that really got me thinking ... what is "sports related" that I can create. Then it hit me ... Water sports. Both DH and I love to be on the water and when it's not so darn hot taking the jet ski out to our little island for a picnic lunch. So that was the inspiration for this fun little card.

Papercraft Star Challenge 3

This week over at Papercraft Star the designers were asked to create something using the following sketch
